Their work

Before the valley

He worked for more than 40 years in corporate change management, telecommunications, and systems integration, in several countries [MS]. He now works as a strategic adviser, and runs Framer OS, which he describes as an operating system for consciousness-based entrepreneurship [MS]. He is the author of Crisis Codes [MS].

In the valley

He has worked with Keith Radmore on the valley’s history and community projects for about ten years [MS]. Before the Forum first met, he convened the Greyton Business Forum in 2013, which was then disbanded in 2015 [MS].

On 16 September 2026 he convened the Forum’s first meeting in Genadendal, together with Stalin Govender of Theewaterskloof Municipality’s Economic Development department [IC]. The Forum meets every two months [IC].

Their publications

  • Using TIME for difficult decisions (27 September 2026). Framer OS, on Substack. An essay on how the Forum can make decisions that affect several communities. Why the Forum Shapes Proposals Together draws on it.

Work on this wiki

  • The site. He set up this site in September 2026 [MS]. It is built with Quartz from an Obsidian vault, and its files are kept in a public repository on GitHub [MS]. It is one of four linked sites he runs, with the BioConomy wiki, the BioHubs directory, and the Valley of Grace High School Decision Tool [MS].
  • The first content. He curated the site’s first entries and its history pages from published sources: books, court judgments, government reports, archives, and the work of the researchers named in this section [MS]. Each page lists its sources under References.
  • The Genadendal Diaries. He built the open repository that holds four of the Genadendal mission diaries as tables and plain text, with new English translations [MS]. The Genadendal Diaries describes it.
  • Records and moderation. He keeps the records collected for this site on the Forum’s behalf, and handles requests about them, as the Data Policy sets out [IC]. He is one of the moderators who read submissions before they go live [MS].
