Growing more of the valley’s own food: reviving fallow gardens, supporting small-scale and emerging farmers, and linking farming with tourism.
The Forum agreed that agriculture and food sovereignty are its third priority. The meeting noted that many community gardens are lying fallow, that the valley has water, land, and farming knowledge, and that commercial farmers could mentor emerging farmers. See the minutes of the first meeting.
