Anyone can add an initiative in Ward 2 to this site. A business, a farm, a school, a congregation, a sports club, a care group, or a one-person practice all belong here. You can also send a correction to an entry that is already listed.
How to send it
Send your submission to the moderators in the way that is easiest for you. A WhatsApp message, an email, a voice note, a document, or a conversation in person all work. You can write in English or Afrikaans.
Contact details are on the Contact page.
What to tell us
You do not need all of this. Send what you have, and a moderator will ask about the rest.
- Name. What is the initiative called? Does it have a name in another language?
- What it does. One or two sentences in your own words.
- Where. Genadendal, Greyton, Heuwelkroon, Madiba Park, Bereaville, Voorstekraal, Boschmanskloof, or the whole valley. Add a street or landmark if it helps.
- Who runs it. A person, a group, a business, or an organisation.
- Since when. The year it started, or when it will start.
- Needs. What are you asking the valley or partners for? Volunteers, equipment, land, funding, customers, advice.
- Offers. What do you give the valley? Services, products, jobs, training, a place to meet.
- Contact. Do you agree to have a name and one contact channel shown on the site? If you do not say yes, we keep your details private.
- Links and photos. A website, social media page, or photos you are happy to have published.
What happens next
- A moderator writes a draft entry from what you sent.
- If your entry describes another organisation or person, they get the chance to respond before it goes live.
- If your entry concerns Farm 39, TRANCRAA, land tenure, or the mission settlement, the Transformasie Komitee reviews it.
- A moderator publishes the entry.
Your name as the person who submitted the entry does not appear on the site.
Changing or removing an entry
If an entry about you or your initiative is wrong or out of date, send the moderators the correction. If you want an entry about your initiative taken down, ask and it will be removed.
