Bereaville lies about 10 kilometres from Greyton. It grew up as one of the villages linked to the Genadendal mission, and has a Moravian mission church. Moravian missionaries started its school in 1865, now Berea Primary School, which serves Bereaville, Voorstekraal, and the farms around them.
